It’s unreadable, though
Scenario
Follows Catherine Ravenscroft, a TV documentary journalist whose work has been based on exposing the wrongdoings of long-respected institutions. The exceptionally talented Russian blue cat improvises all of her action and dialogue in Ravenscroft’s home.
Jonathon uses the same lens for several episodes, a medium-length telephoto
That kind of lens wouldn’t be able to focus on close-up subjects like the selfies with Sasha or in the bedroom with Catherine. Never read the book, so treat the series as a standalone.
The series is too long, too drawn out
It was intriguing and mysterious for the first few episodes, but by episode five I was like, “Oh my god, stop it.” Catherine’s silence/constant interruptions when she tries to tell her side of the story seem like just a plot device to keep the story moving. A clear set-up for a “turn.” The constant, detailed sex scenes are just ew.
I don’t mind sex scenes, but if I wanted to watch a “full-length” sex scene that lasted ten minutes, my first choice wouldn’t be Apple TV+
Literally pornographic.
