Rufus is a tool that helps you format and create a bootable USB flash drive such as USB keys/pen drives, USB sticks, etc.
This can be particularly useful in the following cases:
you must create USB installation media from bootable ISO images (Windows, Linux, UEFI, etc.)
you must work on a system that does not have an operating system installed
you need to boot the BIOS or other firmware from DOS
a low-level tool must be run
